Square One / City Centre
Square One and the surrounding City Centre district form Ontario’s largest suburban highrise cluster outside of Toronto proper. It’s anchored by the Square One shopping centre and is undergoing continued densification, with the Hurontario LRT (Hazel McCallion Line) under construction to improve north-south transit access. Well suited to buyers who want an urban, condo-first lifestyle without a downtown Toronto price tag.
Port Credit
Port Credit is Mississauga’s waterfront neighbourhood on Lake Ontario, with a walkable village-style main street and marina. New condo development here tends to be boutique and lower-rise than Square One, drawing buyers who want a lifestyle-driven neighbourhood with GO Transit access via Port Credit GO on the Lakeshore West line.
Streetsville
Streetsville is one of Mississauga’s oldest neighbourhoods, with a historic, low-rise main street and established tree-lined streets. New ground-oriented development here — townhomes and detached homes — draws families who want a small-town feel within the city, with Streetsville GO providing rail access.
Erin Mills
Erin Mills is a large, established residential district in the city’s west end, known for its schools, parks and family-oriented street layout. New townhome and detached supply here tends to infill within or adjacent to existing residential blocks rather than large master-planned tracts.
Meadowvale
Meadowvale, in the city’s northwest, is another established family community with newer development concentrated at its edges. It’s more affordable on a per-square-foot basis than Streetsville or Erin Mills for ground-oriented product, with Meadowvale GO on the Milton line.
